Vigil For Charlie Kirk

On Saturday, a friend reached out to me and said, "Hey, Erin, I want to host a Candlelight Vigil for Charlie Kirk. Can you help spread the word?"
Without hesitation, I said, "Yes!"

A friend sent me a DM (private message), "Grenell posted it."
Richard Grenell is the former acting director of national intelligence (DNI) under Donald Trump.
I had no idea what to expect. I said to the cohost, Carrie Mackenson, "I don't know.... maybe 200 people will show up."
She spoke with the City of Rancho Palos Verdes, and for assemblies with fewer than 200 people, you don't need a city permit.
The Vigil was set to start at 6:30 PM. I showed up at 6:00 PM with my wagon carrying a tablecloth, some candles, photos of Charlie, and a folding table.
When I arrived at 6 PM, I saw over 500 people already assembled to celebrate the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk.
Carrie brought 400 candles, and they were gone in a matter of seconds. She also got a microphone, but the
Ranger would not permit any amplified sound, so we yelled as loud as we could to over a thousand people gathered together to celebrate Charlie Kirk and Jesus's message to love one another. I am still replaying the images and sounds of "Amazing Grace" and "God Bless America." Today, my heart is filled with hope and even something I thought I lost, "Faith."
