GENDER IDEOLOGY IS SCIENCE FICTION THAT COULD CAUSE SERIOUS HARM

Kyle Lukoff, the Author of Too Bright To See, asked Stevie Hirner to come to the March 8, 2023, School Board Meeting in Palos Verdes. Stevie is currently a MUSIC TEACHER getting "her" PhD in Transgender Studies. She is not a MOTHER and she asks, "On what grounds and with what experience are parents QUALIFIED to decide what is developmentally appropriate for children."

Save PV Schools is in the News again. Still, this time the FIGHT is the same: Protect Parent's Rights to determine what's in their child's best interest and protect children at school from Teachers infusing the Curriculum with the introduction of Gender REASSIGNMENT and the indoctrination of Gender Ideologies.


In early February of 2023, a parent contacted Erin DiMaggio, a founding member of Save PV Schools. With great concern, the Parent told DiMaggio that For Halloween, a Fifth Grade Teacher at Vista Grande, Ms. Tredennick, dressed up covered in what looked like cartoon stuffed viruses. A Mom asked her, "What are you dressed as?" Tredennick responded, "A World Without Vaccines." Many Parents who chose not to get the new COVID-19 vaccine due to concerns of side-effects and the lack of long-term studies found her costume offensive. Further, according to one survey, more than 40% of parents of young kids say they will not get their child a Covid-19 vaccine.

Public School Teachers are obligated to remain neutral on controversial topics for example: when an educator facilitates a discussion between students so both sides of an argument can be represented. And that is what schools should be about: learning to engage in constructive dialogue and hear different points of view.



Another Parent shared that Treddenick had just read The Book, Too Bright To See, to her child's class. Too Bright To See is on The California Department of Education's recommended reading list for Third - Fifth Grade Students (8 to 11-year-olds). Third Graders are 8 to 9 years old and still believe in Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy. The Book throws the whole kitchen sink at kids on page 125 by introducing the concepts of being Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transexual, and Queer (LGBTQ). Ten and eleven-year-olds are in what the Psychosocial Researcher, Erik Erickson, calls Stage 4 of Brain Development; Industry versus Inferiority. Fifth grade is a pivotal age in a child's development where they begin to detach from Mom and Dad to find themselves amongst their peers. It is a stage of curiosity and the beginning phase of self-discovery, self-doubt, and independence. The teenage brain is far from adult maturity.

The introduction of Drag Queens, Ghosts, and Support groups for Lesbians and Gays to children ages 8-12 was NOT the most shocking element of the Book. The disturbing element of the book is a reflection of today's rapidly changing society. Children are left home alone without a parent guiding them and instead have intimate relationships with people online. Screens have taken the place of in-person communication and we are losing our kids to a digital reality. For Bug, the main character in Too Bright To SEE, can't see herself when she looks in the mirror. She can't figure herself out and turns to a GHOST for guidance. In real life, kids are spending more than five hours a day on social media or playing video games and are heavily influenced by "ghosts" or what they see and hear on Snapchat or other platforms. The logo for the popular social network for kids is a GHOST.


The Marketing Rule of 7 states that a prospect needs to “hear” the advertiser’s message at least 7 times before they’ll take action to buy that product or service. It’s a marketing maxim developed by the movie industry in the 1930s. Studio bosses discovered that a certain amount of advertising and promotion was required to compel someone to see one of their movies.


Social Media Influencers and Activists are grooming children online to be "transgender." These activists have mainstream media in their pockets. Some celebrity Transgender TikTokers have over 6 million followers, and most kids consuming the media are kids. Jeffrey Marsh is one of many who encourage kids on TikTok to privately message him on Patreon, another platform for content creators.


In the Fiction Novel, a child is left home alone with a Ghost to figure out who she is.


ALL tweens and TEENS go through intense surges of hormones that can leave them feeling depressed, anxious and isolated. Parents are often confused or don't know how to guide their children through the brainstorms of the teenage years. As for the character in the book, Bug, the Author doesn't include any guidance about puberty from the MOTHER. Only the Ghost sees her. And, the Ghost just happened to be a Drag Queen who leads the girl on a Scavenger Hunt to find clues for self-discovery.


While Bug was sleeping the Ghost shaves Bug's head. Bug changes gender overnight at a slumber party. Then, "HE" went home and announced to "HIS" Mom, "I am a boy." The Mom, without question, accepts and affirms his new identity. Finally, in the epilogue, there is a subtle reference to mastectomies.


"My arms are toned. My chest is flat."

After reading the Book and researching the Author's Twitter Feed, where the Author promoted his plastic surgeon, Dr. Bev's Boys, to his followers, Erin DiMaggio sent a detailed email to the School Board and Superintendent. On February 22, 2023, she made a Public Comment at the PVPUSD School Board Meeting, stating, QUOTE: "I think it's very important that you make a Board Policy that any kind of controversial books that introduce subjects like this go through strict Board Approval and that every single one of you on the Board read through it before it's approved."



DiMaggio did not want to remove Trans Representation from the Curriculum but rather wanted accurate information about being Transgender, risks associated with Gender Dysphoria, and, RISKS associated with changing gender.


The MORAL of the STORY OF TOO BRIGHT TO SEE is:

"If you feel uncomfortable in your body you can change YOUR outer identity to match a feeling in the head."


DiMaggio thought anyone who read the book would see how it was inappropriate to introduce gender swapping to Tweens and Teens through Literature. But others didn't see what DiMaggio saw. Instead, The Palos Verdes Democrats got wind of "a book policy request" and turned it into a scandal. The PV Democrats lied to their subscribers depicting both Board Member Julie Hamill and Save PV Schools as "Anti-Trans."


The PV Democrats falsely claimed DiMaggio was trying to "cancel" a Teacher for reading a book about a transgender character. Then, on March 8, 2023, a few Teachers from PVPUSD showed up with an ARMY of ACTIVISTS, students, and Politicians associated with Palos Verdes Democrats.


A group of 16 and 17-year-olds were at the meeting, and one teenager said, "We heard a rumor from Teachers that parents were trying to ban books." A Teacher took to the Podium and, in an attempt to slander Erin DiMaggio, lied and said, "In her next breath, she expressed her desire to remove trans representation from our Curriculum." Mr. Ellis's comment was among the tamer insults from the Community and surrounding areas. Fifty One people made oral public Comments. There were 67 pages of Written Public Comments, with many explicitly targeting Save PV Schools and mislabeling SPVS as "hateful, transphobic, and anti-gay bigots."


Several Teaches violated BOARD POLICY 6144 and the District, to the best of our knowledge, did nothing. Rather, the Board seemed to celebrate their commentary. Any Teacher presenting controversial topics must present both sides: Risks VS Benefits and not attempt to sway a child to one set of beliefs. Ultimately, Parents are the moral authority in Student’s lives.


 

The misunderstanding and slanderous allegations are the fault of Palos Verdes Faculty Association Representative Tim Coleman who lit the match by using one word in a public comment from another parent. The word was "disgusting." The parent was not calling Transgender People disgusting. She was referring to the Gender Stereotypes throughout the book implying "girls wear dresses and like makeup." She clearly articulated her concern for her daughter who likes neither. She was cut off at the three minute mark and did not have the opportunity to finish her comment. Then, The Palos Verdes Democrats lied to their members. And, to add further insult to injury The District again failed to take a Leadership Position and clarify to the Public the context of the Public Comments and concerns addressed by DiMaggio. Board Member, Julie Hamill, attempted to offer clarity in the meeting, when she asked a clarifying question. She asked, ~Did the District ban a book (paraphrase)? To that, the Superintendent responded, "No."

Advertiser for books like, Too Bright To See, argue that teachers must introduce children to sexual preferences and gender identities to create a more diverse and inclusive world. But what is this agenda truly about?


The TRANSGENDER AGENDA creates more labels, division, and glorifies the changing of one's natural gender to a self-diagnosed new gender identity. This puts our KIDS at risk at school from Teachers who may prey on a child's vulnerabilities and natural curiosities. When a Teacher can have spontaneous discussions with children about their sexual preferences, orientations and gender pronouns it allows them to break Education Codes intended to protect a child's right of privacy. Not only does it make children vulnerable to the "trusted adult" in the room but the more insidious agenda is to steer kids to the Modern Medical Establishment where they can get prescriptions for Puberty Blockers and eventually, plastic surgery.


 

The Activists claim, "We are being inclusive." In reality they are socially conditioning ALL children to go against their familial beliefs and adopt institutionalized sexuality. The high frequency of exposure of sexual orientations to children is part of an effort known as Working to Institutionalize Sex Ed (WISE); A national initiative that supports school districts in implementing sex education. It seeks to destroy Traditional Values, Destroy The Nuclear Family, and Promote Institutionalized Sex Education void of morality.


The AGENDA being pushed on our kids feels like an ORCHESTRATED ACT to normalize and glorify gender dysphoria with the long-term goal of sustainable public funding for GENDER REASSIGNMENT SURGERIES.




Gender ideology is a global movement to promote the destruction of two genders. The use of the

term ideology reflects two aspects of research on this topic:

  • (a) its roots in the feminist position that women are conceptualized as inferior to men to justify and sustain social and cultural systems dominated by men; and

  • (b) the culturally constructed (as opposed to 'natural') nature of Gender.


Pope Francis has said that gender ideology is "one of the most dangerous ideological colonizations" today. And, this ideology has infiltrated our Public School System through the systematic training of Teachers, Recruitment of Students and Parent Teacher Association representatives attending workshops hosted by the California Teacher's Association. Teachers and PTA Representative are being trained to make schools a place where children can "come out of the closet" and declare their sexual preferences to their Teachers without their Parent's knowing.


Up until the 1970s in academia and until the 2010s in the general populace, GENDER had an identical meaning to SEX. Gender meant sex. But today, "GENDER" is defined as: "social and cultural differences rather than biological ones, or one of a range of other identities that do not correspond to established ideas of male and female." Essentially, according to the new 2023 definition, Gender is in the head and not rooted in outer expressions of the genitalia.

  • Inclusive Feminism

  • Straight Fragility

  • Breaking the Binary

  • Creating Inclusive Spaces in Elementary

  • Challenging the Dominant Narrative

  • Creating Safe Spaces for Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Children in Early Childhood Program, with a description saying, "The presenter will provide valuable insights into transgender education in preschool settings..."

George Orwell poignantly wrote, "If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they don't want to hear."



We can give Trans Representation and we can show compassion. And, they/them like ALL people deserve to be SEEN and LOVED. At the end of the day 2+2=4 and Gender Dysphoria is a Mental Health Disorder. School Teachers should not promote or normalize gender dysphoria and present it is a fun option to choose at the next slumber party.


When or if a child comes to a Teacher to express Gender Confusion, Body Image Issues or talk about SEX, the first thing a Teacher should do is notify a Parent or Legal Guardian. And, then if necessary help set them up with the appropriate mental health professional.


Diagnosis The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition, Text Revision (DSM-5-TR)1 provides for one overarching diagnosis of gender dysphoria with separate specific criteria for children and for adolescents and adults.

The DSM-5-TR defines gender dysphoria in adolescents and adults as a marked incongruence between one’s experienced/expressed gender and their assigned gender, lasting at least 6 months, as manifested by at least two of the following:

  • A marked incongruence between one’s experienced/expressed gender and primary and/or secondary sex characteristics (or in young adolescents, the anticipated secondary sex characteristics)

  • A strong desire to be rid of one’s primary and/or secondary sex characteristics because of a marked incongruence with one’s experienced/expressed gender (or in young adolescents, a desire to prevent the development of the anticipated secondary sex characteristics)

  • A strong desire for the primary and/or secondary sex characteristics of the other gender

  • A strong desire to be of the other gender (or some alternative gender different from one’s assigned gender)

  • A strong desire to be treated as the other gender (or some alternative gender different from one’s assigned gender)

  • A strong conviction that one has the typical feelings and reactions of the other gender (or some alternative gender different from one’s assigned gender)

In order to meet criteria for the diagnosis, the condition must also be associated with clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning.


Reading books, watching films, scrolling through social media and other social situations influences how we see ourselves and how we ultimately begin to identify who we are in the world. Children should not be conditioned to believe that it is normal to change their gender.


Many people from our Community showed up on March 8, 2023, to advocate for a common sense curriculum but turned away when they saw the crowd overflowing outside the Board Room Doors. The Activists may think they won, but The Superintendent sent out an email to the entire Faculty giving us partially what we wanted: Advance notice of the novels our kids will read in class. This allows us to discuss issues we might have with the content and have a family meeting at home with our kids. The Board said they would work on a book review policy this year.

Book Choices, Transgender Care, and topics related to Sexual Orientation and Sexual Preferences was not on the Board Agenda on March 8, 2023. Instead, people who spoke about LGBTQIA+ issues was not on the Board Agenda. Therefore the Board may only take a position on a particular topic if the majority of the Board VOTES TO APPROVE IT.


Except in special circumstances, California law does not allow the school board to take official action on issues that were not on the meeting's agenda. The school board can therefore adopt a new board policy or resolution only if discussion of the policy or resolution is on the meeting's agenda. Even if the policy or resolution is on the meeting's agenda, the school board cannot vote on either without first providing members of the public with an opportunity to comment on the agenda item, except in an emergency."

The Board did not Vote to approve the Meeting Highlights, and still, the Author of the Highlights published their support and made a statement with a picture worth a thousand words.

It is essential that YOU fight back to SAVE THE CHILDREN! WE CAN'T DO THIS ALONE.

  • First, educate your child at home. Tell them, "No adult should ask your personal information about your private parts, your Gender or Pronouns.

  • Second, listen to your children. If they tell you about a book or new lesson plan read it and study it.

  • Third, if the lesson contradicts your Faith or Family Beliefs you email the Teacher and Alert the Principal and Superintendent of your District.

Finally, if your Parenting Rights and Student Privacy Rights are not respected by any School Staff or Adult in a position of power over your child, file a Uniform Complaint. Teachers should not ask your child/children about their sexual or gender identity; including preferred pronouns, Political Beliefs or Religious Beliefs. Parents do have the right to request accommodations for religiously motivated reasons (opt out of a particular lesson). However, students may offer personal information if they feel inclined to. Education Code 51513 Parents must opt in by giving written permission for students to participate in any survey or test containing questions about students' or their families' beliefs or practices concerning sex, family life, morality, or religion. California Education Code § 51513. NOTE: If Teachers are asking your child for their preferred pronouns please file a report with The District and CITE Violation of ED CODE: § 51513. Equal Access Act, provides statutory protection for religious expression in public schools. These broader principles were drawn substantially from a 1995 presidential memorandum, Memorandum on Religious Expression in Public Schools, 2 Pub. Papers 1083 (July 12, 1995), and a 1998 Department of Education memorandum, Richard W. Riley, U.S. Secretary of Education, Religious Expression in Public Schools: A Statement of Principles (June 1998). Religious Excusals Where school officials have a practice of excusing students from class on the basis of parents' requests for accommodation of nonreligious needs, religiously motivated requests for excusal may not be accorded less favorable treatment. In addition, in some circumstances, based on Federal or State constitutional law or pursuant to State statutes, schools may be required to make accommodations that relieve substantial burdens on student's religious exercise. Pass Policies: The Superintendent and Curriculum Director are responsible for disciplining employees who violate policies. Passing a policy requires staff to take specific actions. Otherwise, it is legal grounds to fire them. If governing from a minority position, you can pursue this and get the other board members on record for voting against it. This information should be collected, published, and saved for the next election. Keep a website of all this information collected. Keep a record of voting. If you are just a community member, you can agendize the item. Then again, get the board members "On the record" for dismissing this.
